Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.

Special Interest Groups were on hold for 2022-2023 but we are excited to get them back up and running soon. If you want to lead or get involved with one of our  Special Interest Groups, reach out and help us get them started back up!

On The Town
On The Town is a bunch of local alumnae who visit a different restaurant each month.

Urban Hikers

Enjoy Portland's beautiful scenery during monthly walks with your DG sisters. Meet up at different locations around the city, usually on the second Saturday of the month. We often meet at a coffee shop then walk through a beautiful Portland area neighborhood, park or urban forest, then finish with a hot cup of coffee and snack! Doggies, strollers are welcome and often accompany the group!

Lunch Bunch

Do you work in downtown Portland or just want to spend an afternoon in the city? Join us about once a month for a quick, casual lunch and socialize. This is a great option for those alumnae who work downtown and want an easy alternative way to say hello to DG friends during the day hours. Plus, it's great excuse to eat out for lunch!
